Ex-Second Mile Camper: Jerry Sandusky Would Keep His Hand on My Leg for Entire 30-Minute Car Drive

Keeping your hand on a young boy’s leg for an entire 25-30 minute car drive? Totally normal behavior, right? For Jerry Sandusky it was.

According to statements published in the grand jury presentment, former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky typically placed his hand on the leg of a boy riding in the front seat of a car with him. Given that such contact is unwanted, the number of sexual assault victims of Sandusky could easily be in the hundreds.

One former Second Mile camper, who attended the camp from ages 11-14, tells Anderson Cooper that Sandusky would drive with his hand on the young boy’s leg for entire 25-30 minute car rides.

“Anytime riding in a vehicle with him [he would put his hand on my leg],” former camper Troy Craig says. “I can remember clearly the first time that I got into the car, in the passenger seat, we were alone in the car. I mean I’m there with him for two seconds before the doors closed and his hand is on my left thigh and it stays there, and stays there the entire car ride, and from my place to campus is about 25 to 30 minutes.”

Craig says Sandusky wouldn’t draw any attention to the hand.

“He would treat it as if it wasn’t there. We would have a conversation about how I was doing in school, what could I expect to see later that afternoon, wherever we were going.

Craig says he never made a connection that Sandusky might have been a pedophile, but he admits the hand on his leg made him feel uncomfortable. How could it not?

We hope that more victims of Sandusky’s harassment and sexual assaults will step forward to help put away this nasty man. It’s already disgusting that he’s been free this long.

Meanwhile, Sandusky maintains his innocence, and insists he’s not a pedophile.
