Tate Martell says he won’t leave Ohio State for Justin Fields
Ohio State quarterback Tate Martell is digging in his heels despite rumors that he’ll have some serious competition going forward.
Despite rumors that Justin Fields has an eye on a transfer to the Buckeyes, Martell said he’s dedicated himself to the program and won’t be moving without a fight against a guy who’s never played for Ohio State.
I asked @TheTateMartell if he'd consider transferring: "Why would I leave for somebody that hasn’t put a single second into this program yet? I’ve put two years of literally working my ass off into something I’ve been working for and a dream I’ve had my whole life."

Reports have linked Fields with a transfer to Ohio State, and if that happens, he will be expecting to start. That’s bad news for Martell, who stands to inherit Dwayne Haskins’ job, but he certainly has the attitude that you’d want, which has been his M.O. since he was a high schooler.
