Report: Texas to fire Charlie Strong, look to Tom Herman

Texas is expected to fire Charlie Strong following the Longhorns’ blowout loss to TCU on Friday, and they will likely turn to Tom Herman, according to a report.
Horns Digest’s Chip Brown reports the news of what is expected to come for Strong when he meets with the school’s administration on Saturday. The school’s administration wanted to see how Texas did Friday before making a decision on the coach’s future. The 31-9 loss apparently was pretty convincing for them.
SI’s Pete Thamel also said Strong was likely to be fired:
Sources just told me Charlie Strong will be dismissed tomorrow morning. @ChipBrownHD reported a minute ago…

Now the question is whether Texas will offer the job to Tom Herman. The Houston coach is being pursued by LSU but wants to find out about the Longhorns job first.
If Texas wants Herman, they probably just need to make him a nice offer and he’s theirs.
