Report: Tom Herman hasn’t ruled out offer from Texas
Houston head coach Tom Herman has supposedly been in deep discussions with LSU about the school’s potential coaching vacancy, but it does not sound like an agreement is in place just yet.
According to a report from Chris Low and Brett McMurphy of ESPN.com, Herman has not yet ruled out considering an offer from Texas. Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports is also reporting that Herman has not finalized anything with LSU and did not meet with Tigers representatives on Thursday.
Contrary to report, Tom Herman didn't meet with #LSU yesterday..Nor did anyone who reps him.

Prior to his team’s game against Memphis on Friday, Herman said any reports about him having a deal in place with another program are “absolutely” false. He also said he told his players to not “believe anything you read.”
While most expect Texas to fire Charlie Strong, there have been rumblings that an impressive performance against TCU on Friday might inspire the Longhorns to bring him back for a fourth season.
One way or another, Herman is about to become a very rich man. He is drawing legitimate interest from two of the best programs in the country, and his current employer made it very clear that money will not be the reason Herman leaves.
