WVU WR David Sills gets penalty for doing ‘Horns Down’ after TD
Who knew that one could incur an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for doing a “Horns Down” gesture? West Virginia wide receiver David Sills learned that lesson the hard way on Saturday.
Sills caught a 60-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter against Texas that put the Mountaineers up 10-3 on the Longhorns. After scoring, Sills did a “Horns Down” gesture with both hands and got called for unsportsmanlike conduct.

There have been times when we weren’t sure if someone has been doing a Horns Down, but this time there is no question. Sills did it intentionally and made sure everyone in Austin could see it.
