Binghamton Mets unveil ill-advised ‘Netflix and Chill’ promo night

The promotional department of the Binghamton Mets evidently does not know what “Netflix and chill” means.

On Monday, the team – the AA affiliate of the New York Mets – unveiled some sort of “Netflix and Chill” promotion set for April 12. We are guessing that those involved in staging this promotion do not know that “Netflix and chill” is common youthful parlance for snuggling up to watch some Netflix before, well, getting frisky.

On a cold night in Binghamton is there anything better to do than #NetflixAndChill with your #BMets? No way! pic.twitter.com/YDwDEUfgAy

So, who wants to tell them that this reads like an invitation to come to the stadium with someone special and get it on? Or perhaps they do know the meaning and feel Twitter is the best place to solicit for this sort of thing? The best part is that there’s absolutely no indicator in the tweet as to what this promotion is actually intended to entail, so the internet was left to figure it out themselves with their dirty, filthy minds.

We anxiously await some sort of clarification from the B-Mets on this one. Inquiring minds really want to know. It’ll definitely sell tickets, and it may actually surpass the genius video game urinal idea in terms of appealing to the younger demographic. Just don’t bring your family.
