Dana White calls Kardashian mom the greatest promoter of all time
As someone who purchased the UFC for $2 million back in 2001 and has grown it into one of the most profitable sports organizations in the world, Dana White knows a little something about promoting. Without promoting, the UFC would not have gotten to where it is today and could never survive. So it’s fair to ask White who he considers to be the best promoter of all time. Just don’t expect a straight-forward answer.
“I think there are a lot of great promoters,” White said during an interview with Ariel Helwani for Fuel TV’s UFC Tonight earlier this week. “People know who Barnum is, Vince McMahon has been around a long time. Don King.
“Mamma Kardashian, if she isn’t the greatest promoter of all time, I don’t know who is. The show is about nothing and her daughters are some of the most famous people on earth and are making millions. I don’t think you could count her out. I’m very proud of what we’ve been able to do and we’ve done things that people have never done before, things even boxing couldn’t do in its heyday. I don’t think about who’s the greatest promoter of all time.”
Kris Jenner, a.k.a. Momma Kardashian, certainly knows how to sell a product. Her daughters are celebrities for seemingly no reason, so White makes a valid point. Even Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline recently said the Kardashians are famous for nothing, even though he insulted Tim Tebow in the process. Promoters don’t only exist in fighting. Jenner could probably sell underwear to a nudist.
