Those watching the Academy Awards on Sunday were probably shocked to see a performance by Eminem from the movie “8 Mile” right in the middle of the show. How do we know? Because the reaction from those in attendance said it all.
Capping off a segment on the power of songs in movies, Eminem gave a live performance of “Lose Yourself.” The attendees couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

Was the performance random? Yes. But is there ever a bad time for a live performance by Eminem? I say no.
