The worst mistake Kerry Rhodes could have made was denying that he is gay, because that only pushed his alleged ex-boyfriend over the edge.
While Jason Collins is doing the talk-show circuit, throwing out first pitches at Fenway Park, and marching in gay pride parades since coming out, Rhodes is being bled out by alleged ex-boyfriend Hollywood Simpson, who keeps leaking out more and more photo evidence of their past relationship.

On Tuesday, Bossip posted intimate photos of Rhodes and Simpson, presumably provided to them by Hollywood, who also gave them this “Black Brokeback Mountain” quote.
“If that man don’t own up, I will own up for him! He’s denying me but we’re looking like the Black Brokeback Mountain starring me and Kerry in some of our pics. How is he STILL denying me?!?! I’m going to have to drag that azz out the closet then!”
We at LBS treat everyone equally regardless of sexual orientation. It’s too bad that Rhodes feels like he has to hide something, unless Hollywood is just lying about everything (the photos seem to say otherwise). Rhodes is 30 and currently a free agent after spending the past three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Maybe he is taking the denial approach because he hopes it will help his job prospects.
