Colin Kaepernick could still be traded before or during the NFL Draft, according to San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke.
Baalke told ESPN’s Bob Holtzman on Wednesday that all potential trades for Kaepernick are not dead.

Where would Kaepernick go? When all of the trade rumors were swirling around roughly a month ago, it seemed like the Denver Broncos were the most likely suitor for the 29-year-old. However, those talks reportedly fell apart over Kaepernick not wanting to take the pay cut that the Broncos were asking him to take.
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers GM Mark Dominik, who now works for ESPN, said a couple weeks back that the Niners-Broncos trade hinges on San Francisco drafting a quarterback. The 49ers have the No. 7 overall pick and could draft Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch, or they might be interested in Michigan State’s Connor Cook. Ironically, Cook said on “The Dan Patrick Show” Wednesday that he believes both the Niners and Broncos have interest in him.

The 49ers have made it clear that they are happy to keep Kaepernick, but Baalke is obviously leaving the door open. Perhaps a team with an uncertain quarterback situation like this one could jump into the mix.
