Report: Colin Kaepernick trade to Broncos off for financial reasons
For the moment, the Colin Kaepernick trade to the Denver Broncos is not happening.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, none of the parties involved are willing to give up the money that would be required to make the deal happen.

It was reported that, while the parameters of a trade were agreed on, the Niners and Broncos were haggling over a difference of $4.9 million. Given that they’ve made it clear that they’d be happy to keep Kaepernick on the roster, the Niners really don’t have any reason to kick in salary to make the move easier. Kaepernick, likewise, has little reason to give up any of his $11.9 million salary. It was, ultimately, his call to make, and for the moment his decision was to keep his full salary and stay in San Francisco. The three parties could likely resuscitate the deal if one of them eventually budges on this, but that doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon.
