49ers owner has firm response to Deebo Samuel trade rumors
A recent set of Deebo Samuel trade rumors has forced the San Francisco 49ers into issuing a firm clarification.
Reports emerged over the weekend suggesting that the New York Jets had strong interest in Samuel, though it was never suggested that the 49ers were considering a deal. Nevertheless, some on social media had a strong response to the report and were critical of the prospect of the 49ers trading the star wide receiver.
Niners owner Jed York did not let that chatter linger.
On Monday, York retweeted a tweet on his personal account that was clearly meant to silence the Samuel rumors.

That is the photo of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars on Sunday. In other words, no, Samuel is not for sale.
The notion of a Samuel trade makes little sense. Samuel coming off a breakout season where he scored 14 touchdowns. The 49ers will want their versatile stud around to help their new starting quarterback. He is not going anywhere.
