Pro Football Talk specifically reported that the Eagles have talked with the Niners about a trade for Smith.

Philly dealing for Smith makes sense, as the Eagles could use a deep threat like Smith.
Smith, 27 scored 31 touchdowns in four seasons with the Ravens, but he hasn’t been much of a factor since signing with San Francisco and playing with the team’s weak quarterbacks. A trade of Smith would make sense for both parties.
