Aaron Donald gets restraining order against woman he says was stalking him

Former Los Angeles Rams star Aaron Donald has been granted a restraining order against a woman he claims has been stalking and harassing him and his family for years.

Donald on Tuesday filed for a temporary restraining order in Los Angeles against a woman named Janelle Anwar, according to court documents that were obtained by TMZ. Donald said in the petition that he has never met Anwar but that she has been sending him packages, gifts and messages repeatedly since 2020.

The documents also claim that Anwar had convinced herself she was married to Donald and filed for a dissolution action against him last month, demanding payments of $1,500 per month and a $6.5 million settlement.

Donald said that Anwar has proven to be “delusional” and he fears “that [her] delusions will lead to her attempting to harm me, my wife, my children, and my brother.” The former defensive tackle also said Anwar made a threat against his 3-year-old son’s life in a Google Chat.

The documents include screenshots of instances where Donald says Anwar was harassing him, including a $5 Zelle payment she sent Donald with a message that said “I love you.”

A judge has ordered Anwar to stay at least 100 yards away from Donald and his family at all times. She is also prohibited from contacting Donald.

Donald, a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, retired after the 2023 season. He made the Pro Bowl 10 times and was still playing at an elite level when he called it a career. There was speculation at one point that he could return to the Rams, but that seems unlikely to happen.
