Aaron Rodgers has disgusted reaction to Jets’ first half play
The New York Jets might have needed a win on Sunday to give Aaron Rodgers a chance of playing next week. Unfortunately for him, the team’s first half performance was nowhere near good enough for that.
The Jets fell behind 24-0 in the first half, with starting quarterback Zach Wilson battered behind the team’s struggling offensive line. The team had just four yards of offense in the first half, while Wilson was sacked five times.
It was a horrific showing, and Rodgers was unable to hide his disgust.

Rodgers had hoped to play this season, and worked hard to make a remarkable comeback after his Week 1 Achilles injury. Incredibly, that effort looks like it may actually bear fruit. However, it may be all for naught if the Jets fall to 5-9 and essentially eliminate themselves from playoff contention.
Even if Rodgers campaigns to play against Washington next week, the Jets simply may not want to risk him without any incentive. That’s why there may be more to Rodgers’ frustration than just a bad team performance on Sunday.
