Reports emerged earlier Monday that the Jets want Wilson to take over as their starter again, but that Wilson is reluctant to do so. Jets coach Robert Saleh disputed that on Monday, claiming that he had spoken with Wilson and that the quarterback wanted the ball.

Whatever the case, the situation only seems to get messier for the Jets, who are on the brink of being eliminated from the playoff race. It’s hard to envision the situation improving no matter who starts at quarterback against Houston next Sunday.
