The Philadelphia Eagles may be preparing for their playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they appear to have some internal drama brewing with superstar wide receiver AJ Brown.
Not only has Brown missed two practices this week as the result of a knee injury sustained in Week 18 against the New York Giants, but he’s now seemingly expressing frustration elsewhere.
Brown deactivated his account on X, formerly known as Twitter, and then scrubbed his Instagram page of all things relating to the Eagles. He didn’t just remove Philly from his bio, but he also deleted all photos of himself in an Eagles uniform.
It’s a similar tactic to the one Brown took during his contract dispute with the Tennessee Titans.

While the social media cleanse could mean nothing, Brown wasn’t at his locker during player availability on Friday to answer any questions. And that’s become a trend.
Brown largely avoided the media over the final few weeks of the regular season but did offer a few spot comments. Among them was an expression of support for head coach Nick Sirianni after rumors swirled that Brown was unhappy with Philly’s coaches.
The erratic behavior has begun to rub Brown’s teammates the wrong way.
“Any time you have bad body language from a leader like that, other guys see it, and it’s not good,” an anonymous Eagles player told Marcus Hayes of The Philadelphia Inquirer.
If the Eagles continue their collapse against the Buccaneers on Monday night, heads are going to roll. Not only will Brown’s frustrations likely boil over, but it’s entirely possible that Sirianni and his staff get shown the door.
