AJ Green says he does not want to play for anyone besides Bengals

AJ Green

AJ Green’s best chance of winning a Super Bowl would probably be to leave the Cincinnati Bengals as a free agent following the 2019 season, but the star wide receiver says he has no interest in doing that.

At his football camp this week, Green told WXIX-TV that he wants to remain with the Bengals beyond 2019. He said Cincinnati is “home for me” and all he knows.

“I can’t see myself playing anywhere else or playing in a different city,” Green said, via Jeremy Bergman of NFL.com. “Hopefully I can be here for a couple more years. We’ll see on that part.”

Green has been one of the best receivers in football for years, and he is still chasing his first championship. The Bengals don’t appear to be anywhere near Super Bowl contention, but obviously he is comfortable in Cincy and wants a contract extension. Bengals owner Mike Brown is said to be intent on keeping him with the team, so he may get his wish sooner rather than later.
