Baker Mayfield hilariously roasts his former college teammate
Baker Mayfield and Mark Andrews starred together at Oklahoma before making it to the NFL and remain close today. They will face off on Monday night as opponents, when Mayfield’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers host Andrews’ Baltimore Ravens in a big Week 7 game.
Mayfield certainly isn’t going easy on Andrews on or off the field. He delivered a pretty hilarious roast of his college teammate on Thursday, mocking Andrews on a whole host of topics.
Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield calls best friend and former OU teammate Mark Andrews (whom he’ll see Monday night) a “weirdo” and says “he can’t exactly separate friendship and football.” He also believes “he’s changed” because he “has a very serious girlfriend.” 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/LFpLBA2irE

“Even though Mark and I are best friends, him and I don’t talk in season. He’s a weirdo. He can’t exactly separate friendship and football. He struggles with that on a year-to-year basis, so there’s a few months at a time when we’re friends again. It hurts my feelings. Guy was in my wedding, won’t talk to me. It hurts my feelings.
“He’s changed. He’s got a very serious girlfriend. Some people think he’s gone soft. I’m not one of those people, but people are murmuring. There’s whispers out there.”
Mayfield is clearly having a blast taking on his buddy. The quarterback can rest assured that Andrews still has his back, even if they’re apparently not on speaking terms right now.
The Bucs and the Ravens both enter Monday’s game at 4-2. The two teams aren’t rivals by any stretch, but bragging rights may be on the line for these two players in particular.
