The Cleveland Browns are going to have nightmares over the way their game against the Los Angeles Rams ended on Sunday night. The Browns threw four straight passes from the four-yard line down 20-13 in the final minute and failed to score. They had three straight incompletions, and then a pressured Baker Mayfield threw an interception on the final try.
A closer look at their third-and-goal play shows Jarvis Landry appeared to be open underneath, but Mayfield tried to hit tight end Demetrius Harris in double coverage instead.
Looked like Baker Mayfield missed Jarvis Landry on a slant that would have put the Browns in position to kick the game-tying extra point on third down. Look at Jarvis' reaction after the play. On fourth down, the Rams bring the blitz and Mayfield throws an interception. pic.twitter.com/xo1FDc36Pc

That was a bad read by Mayfield, who acknowledged his mistake after the game.
What Baker said about the third down throw there at the end: “I think I'm gonna have recurring nightmares over the throw to (TE) Demetrius (Harris) up top. I think I'll be able to look at the film and know I have Jarvis (Landry) underneath…"

In addition to Mayfield’s miss, head coach Freddie Kitchens said he wished he had called a running play.
The Browns came close in this one, but not being able to punch it in was the difference between having a chance at victory and a loss that puts them at 1-2.
