Bears reportedly benching Mike Glennon in favor of Mitchell Trubisky
The Chicago Bears gave Mike Glennon $16 million guaranteed with a contract that made many scratch their heads over the offseason, and it only took four games for them to decide they have seen enough from the veteran quarterback.
Adam Schefter and Dan Graziano of ESPN reported on Monday that Bears coach John Fox has decided to give rookie Mitchell Trubisky a chance to start.
Bears have made a QB change and are going with Mitchell Trubisky, sources tell @DanGrazianoESPN and me.

Denver-based radio host Benjamin Allbright reported late last week that he was getting “flooded” with text messages saying Trubisky was expected to be named Chicago’s starter for Week 5.
The move certainly isn’t a surprise, as Glennon has thrown just four touchdowns compared to five interceptions in four games. The Bears are 1-3 during that span, and Fox’s comments after last Thursday’s blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers indicated a change could be coming.
It was only a matter of time before Trubisky took over for Glennon. The Bears traded up to No. 2 in the draft to select him, which is why it was so puzzling that they spent big money signing Glennon. Trubisky will face a tough test against the Minnesota Vikings in his first NFL start.
