Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict: ‘I hate Pittsburgh’

vontaze-burfict

Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict said what we already know: he hates Pittsburgh.

The volatile, controversial heart and soul of the Cincinnati defense made the remarks in the buildup to Saturday’s wildcard game against the Steelers.

“I hate Pittsburgh,” Burfict said Wednesday, via Ralph N. Paulk of TribLive.com. “It’s not personal. That’s just the way it is.”

That was all Burfict had to say, as he left the locker room immediately.

Actions speak louder than words, and Burfict’s actions speak for themselves every time the two teams clash. This season alone, the Steelers have called him out for a perceived celebration after Le’Veon Bell’s season-ending injury and accused him of diving at Ben Roethlisberger’s knees. Burfict also feuded on Twitter with Pittsburgh’s Vince Williams. Burfict has made his feelings plenty clear even before this. Nobody will doubt that he does hate Pittsburgh.
