Bill Belichick snaps at reporter over Rob Gronkowski question (Video)
Bill Belichick wasted no time in his Wednesday morning press conference letting reporters know that he is not going to provide updates on the injury status of Rob Gronkowski.
On Tuesday, the Patriots did something extremely uncharacteristic of their franchise when they released a statement including detailed information on Gronkowski’s injury. When asked about that statement, Belichick got salty and sarcastic real fast.

“Just trying to do everything we can to help you out,” Belichick said. “Sorry if you’re offended by that. Just trying to be cooperative and help you out, so if that’s a problem just let me know. We did what we did. If you have any other questions you should take it up with our public relations department.”
There are generally two schools of thought regarding the statement. The first is that the Patriots issued it so Belichick can do exactly what he did on Wednesday every time he is asked about Gronk, which is basically to say “we already addressed that.”
However, some believe it is telling that the statement was attributed to the Patriots and “the Gronkowski family.” Gronk’s father, Gordon, is heavily involved with Rob’s career decisions. Is this the Gronkowski family’s way of making it known that Rob won’t be rushed back and could be out until the playoffs? I wouldn’t rule it out.
