Bill Simmons: ESPN had Stephen A. Smith leak info to smear Tom Brady
Stephen A. Smith was one of the first people in line to blast Tom Brady on Wednesday after the New England Patriots quarterback’s latest suspension appeal was denied. Guess which of Smith’s former coworkers has come to Brady’s defense?
Bill Simmons, of course.
Here’s what Smith had to say about the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals denying Brady’s request for a rehearing:
How many times have yo told y'all: you're never bigger than the brand. Not even Tom Brady. He brought it all on himself. Do the crime…….

Tom Brady was ARROGANT, UPPITY, SELFISH and in the end he brought this on himself.

According to Simmons, who may or may not have knowledge of such things, ESPN intentionally used Smith and others to smear Brady during the Deflategate saga.
One of multiple ESPN employees used by the NFL to leak anti-Brady info during this saga decides to weigh in. https://t.co/g7rejeMaRZ

For what it’s worth, Smith was the first to report one of the biggest bombshell pieces of information in Brady’s Deflategate case.
Smith has ripped Brady all along for not cooperating with the NFL’s investigation, and Simmons is a known Brady fan boy. If you’re looking for unbiased opinions, it’s best to ignore these two.
