Bills fans threw snowballs at Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs players
Buffalo Bills fans kept the hostility toward the visiting Kansas City Chiefs on high after their team was eliminated from the playoffs. The Chiefs beat the Bills 27-24 on Sunday to advance to the AFC Championship Game.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his teammates were pelted with snowballs as they made their way off the field at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, N.Y.
Mahomes had to duck and cover while trying to give away his game-used gear to Chiefs fans in the stands.
Surely we’ll hear about Bills fans throwing snowballs at someone for 50+ years, right? Until roughly the 2070s? pic.twitter.com/17JfabY9Kn

The snowballs kept coming even as Mahomes made his way to the tunnel.

Mahomes wasn’t the only snowball target, either. Travis Kelce, Chris Jones and several Chiefs players got a taste of snow as they waved goodbye to the Buffalo crowd.

Snowballs were even being thrown during live game action. Bills cornerback Cam Lewis and Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling were both on the receiving end of a snowball during a 3rd-and-goal play midway through the second quarter.

The loss was an emotional one for Bills fans, who looked completely heartbroken after yet another playoff defeat against the Chiefs. Kansas City has eliminated the Bills thrice over the past four postseasons.
Some Bills fans chose to shed tears. Others coped by throwing snow at their longtime tormentors.
