Tennessee Titans coach Brian Callahan has set a mark that no head coach in the NFL would ever want to set.
Callahan’s Titans lost 41-20 to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, dropping them to 0-3 on the season. Combined with a 3-14 campaign last season, Callahan’s NFL head coaching record is now 3-17, a win percentage of .150.
That is the lowest win percentage of any coach with a minimum of 20 games coached in the history of the NFL dating back to the 1970 merger.

Marty Mornhinweg and Chris Palmer both went 5-27 as NFL head coaches, which is a .156 win percentage. Despite Hue Jackson’s infamous 3-36-1 stretch with the Cleveland Browns, his one 8-8 season as head coach of the Oakland Raiders lifts his career win percentage to .205.
The good news for Callahan is he is still employed and has the chance to win some games and avoid the title. The bad news is the Titans do not look close to turning their fortunes around. They have been outscored by 43 points in just three games, and Callahan himself seems to be feeling the pressure.
The Titans are building their franchise around No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward, but the cupboard around him is still largely bare. Callahan can only hope that he gets to stick around long enough to benefit from the rookie quarterback’s development.
