Report: Broncos have had discussions with Johnny Manziel
The Denver Broncos have reportedly reached out to Johnny Manziel to discuss the possibility of the free agent quarterback joining the team.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter said on SportsCenter Thursday that Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak has spoken to Manziel about him being a “potential fit” for the roster. For what it’s worth, Mike Klis of 9News in Denver is reporting that the Broncos have no interest in signing Manziel and Kubiak was reaching out more as a friend.

Various other reports have indicated that the conversation between Kubiak and Manziel took place weeks ago and had nothing to do with the Broncos possibly signing Johnny Football.
Was told Kubiak reached out weeks ago as a fellow A&M alum to Manziel in hopes to help him, never a discussion about him joining the Broncos

The possibility of the defending champions signing Manziel seems slim, but they are clearly in search of quarterback help with the Colin Kaepernick trade recently falling through. If you believe what one prominent college football booster said about Manziel this week, the 24-year-old may never play in the NFL again.
