Add another name to the growing pile of quarterbacks linked with the Denver Broncos.
According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Broncos are among the teams interested in Browns quarterback Josh McCown, particularly if they’re unable to make a trade for Colin Kaepernick.
Rapoport reports that the Browns are likely to trade or cut McCown after adding Robert Griffin III to their roster.
It is also reported that the Houston Texans and quarterback Brian Hoyer appear “headed for a divorce,” and Denver could have interest there as well.
The New York Jets have been linked to McCown previously as they look for alternatives in the event Ryan Fitzpatrick lands elsewhere. A Kaepernick trade seems to be Denver’s preferred option, but they are unwilling to meet San Francisco’s asking price and he could end up staying with the Niners.
