Report: Broncos to move on from 3-time Pro Bowl player
The Denver Broncos are in the early stages of rebuilding their defense, and they are reportedly planning to move on from yet another big-name player.
Veteran defensive end Frank Clark agreed to take a pay cut on Thursday that will reduce his $3.5 million base salary to the veteran minimum of $841,000, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. ESPN’s Field Yates added that the contract restructure was the first step toward Clark being traded or released.
Frank Clark’s days as a Bronco are coming to an end, per sources. Be it via a trade or release, the team will be moving on from Clark soon.
It’s the second pass rusher Denver will have parted ways with in recent days, as the team traded Randy Gregory less than a week ago.…

Clark signed a 1-year, $5.5 million deal with the Broncos back in June. The contract had the potential to be worth up to $7.5 million with incentives. Clark has played in only two games this season.
The 30-year-old Clark was with the Kansas City Chiefs for four seasons prior to signing with Denver. He made the Pro Bowl in the last three of those.
The Broncos traded veteran defensive lineman Randy Gregory last week and have received inquiries about several other players. All indications are that they will continue to be sellers in the wake of their 1-4 start to the season.
