The Cleveland Browns are cashing in on many of their trade chips.
The Browns made three major trades on Friday, bringing in wide receiver Jarvis Landry, quarterback Tyrod Taylor, and now cornerback Damarious Randall.
Randall had 47 tackles, four interceptions including one returned for a touchdown, and nine passes defensed last season for Green Bay. A former first-round pick by the Packers, he has 10 interceptions — two returned for touchdowns — since being drafted in 2015.
As if beefing up their offense with a solid quarterback and strong receiver weren’t already enough for Cleveland, now they’ve added a good cornerback to their defense. They’ve also done all this while keeping the Nos. 1 and 4 picks in the upcoming draft.
The Browns were loaded with draft picks after Sashi Brown stockpiled them the past few seasons before being pushed out the door. Now new GM John Dorsey is putting them to good use as he builds what will certainly be a much more competitive team on the field.
