Former NFL quarterback and current CBS NFL analyst Tony Romo was arrested overnight Thursday in Wisconsin for allegedly driving while under the influence.
Romo was stopped while traveling south on I-43 in Milwaukee County, Wisc., according to FOX 6. The former quarterback performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, where he was booked and released.
TMZ obtained Romo’s very relaxed-looking mugshot.

A court date for Romo was set for Sept. 21.
Romo’s arrest comes at a point when his stock as a broadcaster is fairly low. He has received increasingly negative reviews for his work on CBS to the point that the network was actually angry at the volume of criticism lobbed his way.
Romo is still in the middle of the 10-year, $180 million contract he signed with CBS in 2020. There is no reason to believe he will be going anywhere as a result of the arrest.
