Rumors swirled that the Cleveland Browns could trade All-Pro edge rusher and Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett.
Garrett just set the NFL single-season record for sacks with 23, and he has spent his entire career in Cleveland since being selected No. 1 overall in 2017.
It is no secret that Garrett would be worth a large package in any trade, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter downplayed any such trade rumors involving the Browns star.
Schefter said he called the Browns and the team said they are “100% definitely not trading Myles Garrett,” Schefter said on The Pat McAfee Show. “They were adamant about it…They told me no.”

ESPN’s Field Yates reported that the Browns “modified” some contract language with Garrett’s deal, and that began to raise questions about whether or not the Browns would consider moving him.
But, at least per Schefter, that doesn’t seem to be the case at all.
Garrett raised eyebrows with an interesting social media post after the Browns hired Todd Monken as the new head coach over former Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz.
However, the Browns certainly didn’t expect Garrett to request a trade at the time, and as of now, no indication has been made from either side that Garrett will be moved.
For now, all signs point to Garrett staying in Cleveland, even with the modified contract in place for the seven-time Pro Bowler.
