Derrick Henry is looking to make the Cleveland Browns his next victim, but one veteran player has an idea he believes could help prepare his team to stop the Baltimore Ravens star.
Browns safety Grant Delpit was asked on Thursday for his thoughts on trying to slow down Henry, who is currently on pace to set the NFL’s single-season rushing record. Delpit suggested that Cleveland should try using offensive lineman Dawand Jones as a scout team running back.
“He’s big, you know? He’s pretty big. He’s got size,” Delpit said of Henry. “We’re just gonna put Dawand to scout team running back and just let him give us a good look.”

Jones is a 6-foot-8, 375-pound behemoth. Henry, of course, is known for his uncanny combination of strength and speed. Jones has plenty of the former, but he can’t exactly keep up with Henry in the latter category.
We get the point Delpit was trying to make. Henry is an imposing force, which is why he has 873 rushing yards and 10 total touchdowns through just seven games. He was also disappointed in himself for one play despite racking up 169 rushing yards in Monday night’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
No player in the NFL looks hungrier than Henry, and Delpit knows it is going to take everything the Browns have to slow the King down.
