Derrick Henry had a surprising comment about his 81-yard run

Derrick Henry runs down the sideline

Derrick Henry exploded once again in the second half of the Baltimore Ravens’ game on Monday night, but the star running back was not all that impressed with his performance.

Henry finished with 169 rushing yards and a 13-yard touchdown reception in Baltimore’s 41-31 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. He was quiet for much of the game before ripping off an 81-yard run late in the third quarter.

Henry was disappointed in himself for not scoring on that particular play. He expressed that in a social media post after the game.

“Should’ve scored smh slow af much love flock,” Henry wrote on X.

Buccaneers cornerback Zyon McCollum showed great hustle on the play and took a good angle to make the tackle on Henry. That is something that many defenders have failed to do in the past when Henry gets into the open field.

Henry has elite speed for any player, let alone one of his size. That is why fans all had the same reactions to one of his incredible touchdown runs earlier in the year.

If Henry couldn’t outrun Tampa Bay’s defense on that particular play, it is probably safe to assume no running back would have.
