Talk about awkward.
The Cleveland Browns announced on Friday that they were waiving safety Tyvis Powell. Powell played last season with Seattle as a rookie and was claimed off waivers by Cleveland in February.
Powell being cut by the team isn’t especially news breaking, but there is one unfortunate twist with the timing.
Former Buckeye and current Browns safety Tyvis Powell is scheduled to throw out the first pitch before tonight's Indians game.

Hey, at least the “former Buckeye” part of his resume still counts for something, right? The Indians host the White Sox on Friday night.
