Cardale Jones suffers injury running 40-yard dash
Cardale Jones suffered an injury to what appeared to be his hamstring while running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine on Saturday.
The Ohio State quarterback was participating in the 40-yard dash when he pulled up lame and told NFL Network’s Kimberly Jones that he was done for the day.
Cardale Jones just told me he's done for the day. He left the field. I'm unclear on injury.

Jones ended up running an unofficial 4.83 but that’s a secondary concern at this point.
Jones burst onto the scene in 2014 to lead Ohio State to a national title, but had some struggles in 2015 and was replaced as starter by J.T. Barrett, causing his draft stock to crash – remember, some Browns fans once wanted to tank for this guy, and now he may last until day three. The Combine would have been a great opportunity to turn some heads, but this seems to be the worst possible scenario instead. We’ll see if he’s healthy in time for Ohio State’s Pro Day on March 11.
