Broncos’ Carlos Henderson suspended for substance abuse violation
Denver Broncos wide receiver Carlos Henderson has been suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
Henderson, who had failed to report to training camp with the team, now won’t be allowed to play in Week 1.

It’s worth noting that Henderson was the subject of a rather odd arrest for possession of a controlled substance during the offseason. This, combined with his unexcused absence from camp, seems to indicate that the former third-round pick’s future with the Broncos is very much in doubt, and he may well fail to make the team to start the season.
