Carlos Hyde mocked ‘Cleveland sports’ in old tweet

Carlos Hyde

Carlos Hyde respects the Cleveland Browns enough that he was willing to sign a three-year deal with the team, but the younger Carlos Hyde may not have approved of the latest career decision.

Not long after Hyde agreed to join the Browns, the internet did its thing and dug up a very old tweet from the running back. It was from 2011 when he was just 20 years old, but plenty of people are getting a chuckle out of it.

In Hyde’s defense, Cleveland sports did stink at the time. The Browns have been horrible for several years, the Bengals are the Bengals, the Indians haven’t won a championship since the 1940s and the Cavaliers won their first title in franchise history two years ago. His tweet wasn’t exactly shocking. And, let’s be clear, it’s nowhere near as embarrassing as what Kevin Durant said on his Twitter account years before he joined the Golden State Warriors.
