Chad Johnson says he is having dinner with Joe Burrow to discuss Cincinnati

Joe Burrow is all but certain to end up with the Cincinnati Bengals, and he is poised to get some good insights from one of their all-time greats.

Former Bengals receiver Chad Johnson tweeted on Tuesday that he is planning to have dinner with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.

“Having dinner with Burrow prior to the draft to let him know he’s in great hands because that f—ing city rocks and everybody will love you,” he said.

Burrow, who is from Ohio and became a star after transferring to LSU, is the presumptive No. 1 overall pick in next April’s draft. The Bengals, who went 2-14 last season, are the proud owners of that selection. Johnson, meanwhile, played in Cincinnati for ten seasons from 2001 to 2010, making six Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams.

There are some questions about how willing Burrow exactly is to play for the Bengals, but hopefully meeting with Johnson will help ease some concerns.
