Chargers rule Hunter Henry out for wild-card game
Despite some hope that he’d be able to play this week, Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry will not play in Sunday’s wild-card game.
Henry, who has not played this season with a torn ACL, will not be activated for the team’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, and will be evaluated again if they advance to the divisional round.
The #Chargers are not activating TE Hunter Henry from PUP today, meaning he won’t play tomorrow, source said. It’s wait and see from here.

There was chatter earlier in the week that Henry may have ended up making an unlikely return, providing the Chargers’ offense with another weapon against a smothering Baltimore defense. Instead, they’ll have to make do with what they’ve had, which includes Antonio Gates and Virgil Green.
