Chiefs RB Damien Williams robbed while staying at rental home

Damien Williams

Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams has been riding high since his big performance in the Super Bowl a few months back, but he was unfortunately the victim of a crime over the weekend.

According to a report from TMZ, Williams had just checked into a rental home in Los Angeles on Saturday night when three intruders broke into the property through the back entrance. The three men surrounded Williams and his friends and demanded money. While none of the suspects brandished a weapon, they threatened Williams and his friends and had them fork over roughly $1,000 in cash.

Police had not located the suspects as of Monday. They have reportedly been searching for three African-American men and trying to obtain surveillance footage that may help lead them to the suspects.

Williams had a huge game in Kansas City’s Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers. He rushed for 104 yards on 17 carries and scored two touchdowns. He may have made a questionable decision with his jersey after the game, but the impact Williams made was massive after a season in which he battled injuries.
