New Jersey Governor and Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, but it doesn’t sound like him and his buddy Jerry Jones share the same feelings on Johnny Manziel.
In an appearance on the “Hugh Hewitt Show,” Christie was asked if he has spoken to Jones about the Cowboys potentially acquiring Manziel this offseason. Christie made it very clear that he wants Manziel nowhere near his favorite NFL team.
“I will throw my body in front of the Johnny Manziel train if it heads toward Dallas,” Christie said.
Jones probably wouldn’t take advice from Christie on running his football team, but we saw video evidence during last year’s playoffs that the two are pretty close. Still, we know how much Jones loves Manziel and how badly he wanted to draft him.
If you have seen the latest video of Manziel partying it up, you know why Christie wants nothing to do with him. We doubt he’s the only Cowboys fan who feels that way.
