Colts release Antonio Cromartie
Antonio Cromartie’s brief stint in Indianapolis is over.
The Colts announced on Tuesday that they have released the four-time Pro Bowl cornerback along with inside linebacker Sio Moore.

The 32-year-old Cromartie signed with the team in August, which had the added benefit of helping him avoid arrest for falling behind on his child support payments. He logged 14 tackles and two pass deflections in four starts for the shorthanded Colts secondary. But with fellow corners Vontae Davis and Patrick Robinson both returning to the lineup, Cromartie’s services were no longer deemed necessary.
This now marks the second release in the last eight months for the veteran Cromartie, who will now have to look elsewhere to avoid sinking back into child support debt again.
