Colts sign Antonio Cromartie
The Indianapolis Colts on Monday announced that they have agreed to terms with free agent cornerback Antonio Cromartie.
The Colts worked out Cromartie and other cornerbacks on Monday in response to a rash of injuries that have hit the team.
Six of the 11 cornerbacks on the Colts’ roster have dealt with injuries during the preseason. The big blow was Vontae Davis spraining his ankle during practice on Thursday.
Cromartie, 32, struggled last season with the Jets and has dealt with a hip injury, which is why it took him so long to sign on with a new team.
