The Dallas Cowboys have been looking for ways to improve their defense ahead of the trade deadline, and it sounds like they are aiming high.
The Cowboys have inquired about trading for All-Pro pass-rushers Maxx Crosby and Trey Hendrickson, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reported on Sunday. Both the Las Vegas Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals turned the interest away, however.
“Dallas is trying. They’ve actually called around. They called the Raiders for Maxx Crosby and were told no. They called the Bengals for Trey Hendrickson and were told no. They are calling around for help on defense, but they’re not the only ones,” Glazer said.
Glazer added that Crosby has informed the Raiders he does not want to be moved.
“The Raiders told (the Cowboys) they’re not moving him, but also Maxx Crosby said, ‘I don’t want to go anywhere,’” Glazer reported.

The Cowboys improved to 3-3-1 with their 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders last week. They remain in the hunt in the NFC East, but their defense has been a huge weakness. That is hardly a surprise after they traded Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers during the offseason.
Dallas acquired two first-round draft picks from Green Bay in the Parsons trade. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has consistently said the team is willing to part with its additional draft capital in order to improve the roster in 2025. Jones has also made some delusional comments about his team’s pass rush, and he claims that is not an area of concern heading into the Nov. 4 trade deadline.
