Zack Martin knows exactly what his Dallas Cowboys need to do better this season.
Martin, who has missed time during the preseason with a knee injury, met with the media on Tuesday and said the team needs to get back to running the ball better.
Cowboys All-Pro right guard Zack Martin: "Last year we didn't necessarily play up to our standard here and didn't run the ball effectively as we needed to. This group takes great pride in that and I know we're going to try to get back to that. We're excited for the challenge."

The four-time Pro Bowl right guard also said that Ezekiel Elliott is in for a “big year.”
Zack Martin on seeing a different Ezekiel Elliott this year: "Zeke's been on it since we started camp. I'm sure you guys have seen it, just the way he's running, the way he's approaching every day. Something just feels different. I think he's ready for a big year."

The Cowboys were second in the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns last year, just as they were in 2016. The difference is they led the league in rushing attempts in 2016 but were fifth last year, so they just didn’t run the ball as frequently.
With his suspension long behind him, Elliott could be ready to return to his rookie season form. The questions will then fall upon the Dallas line, which is expected to be without key center Travis Frederick.
