Terrell Owens announced on Thursday that he will not be attending his Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony next month, and now another retired receiving great is throwing some shade at him over it.
Shortly after Owens made the announcement on Twitter, former eight-time Pro Bowler and current Fox Sports 1 commentator Cris Carter posted an inflammatory tweet of his own in response to Owens’ decision. Have a look:
Terrell isn’t going to be enshrined in Canton, I’m even more excited to attend the PFHOF weekend now
— Cris Carter (@criscarter80) June 7, 2018

Mind you, Owens will still be enshrined as part of the 2018 class. He is just choosing not to attend the official ceremony.
Meanwhile, Carter, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013, has had some longstanding beef with Owens, seemingly stemming from bitterness on Owens’ part that Carter was in the Hall and he was not. Now Carter no longer has that advantage over Owens, but that’s not stopping him from continuing to get his shots in where he can.
