Dallas Stars joke about JJ Watt joining team

Could the Dallas Stars be landing a new star player? Well, perhaps they’d like to.
Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt is in Minnesota for the Super Bowl this week, which also happens to be the former home of the NHL’s Minnesota North Stars. Watt was a childhood fan of the team, now known as the Dallas Stars.
Minnesota, great to see ya!
Grew up playing hockey in Edina, Minnetonka, Duluth, etc. pretending to be Mike Modano. Had our differences in college (do you even remember what The Axe looks like anymore?) But have always loved it here and am happy to be back!— JJ Watt (@JJWatt) February 2, 2018
The Stars took note of Watt’s words, and offered him a role on defense.
At 6′ 5″, 289, you'd be a great addition to our blueline. We think @9modano would agree as well. https://t.co/NC59h4EWfa

Alas, Watt will probably settle for being healthy for the 2018 NFL season. He’d certainly be an imposing NHL player, though.
