Danny Trevathan gets two-game suspension for hit on Davante Adams
Chicago Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan was suspended for two games by the NFL for a violation of the league’s player safety rules.
Deeming the hit “unnecessary roughness,” Trevathan will be forced to sit out the next two weeks of action until October 16, when he will be reinstated.

It will be hard for Trevathan to argue with this. His hit was late and to the head, and the victim, Packers wide receiver Davante Adams, was lucky to be okay and come through without any serious injury. Trevathan’s hit was the exact sort of thing the NFL wants to cut out of the game.
