Davante Adams leaves in ambulance after late hit from Danny Trevathan
Davante Adams was carted off the field in the third quarter of Thursday night’s Green Bay Packers-Chicago Bears game after taking a late hit to the head from Danny Trevathan.
Green Bay was facing a 3rd and goal play from the 16 when Aaron Rodgers threw underneath to Adams. Adams was being stood up by a few Bears and failing to make forward progress when Trevathan came in late and nailed him squarely in the head with a hit.

The hit had so much impact that Adams’ mouthpiece popped out. After Adams’ body went limp, players on both sides signaled for medical personnel to come care for Adams.
Trevathan was hit with a personal foul. Perhaps he could be disciplined even more if his hit is determined to be “egregious.”

He had given a thumbs up while being taken away on the cart.
